Linda Gail Ford went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 22, 2019 at the age of 74.  A Memorial service celebrating Linda’s life will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan, Texas with Bro. David Hammond officiating.   There will be a wake following the services at Linda and Ronnie’s house where all are welcome to come and fellowship.

Linda was born on March 18, 1945 in McKinney, Texas. She is the daughter of the late Robert and Fleta Reneau. Linda was raised in Dallas, Texas where she met and fell in love with the love of her life, Ronald Ford Sr. on March 24, 1962.  Together they built a home in Quinlan, Texas where they raised their daughter, Deborah Travers of Tawakoni and son, Ronald Ford of Quinlan.  Linda and Ronnie enjoyed each other’s company and were happily married for 58 years.

Linda was a loving wife and mother.  She was not only a homemaker but also enjoyed gardening, creating flower arrangements and crafts. She had a love of all God’s creatures, but the Golden Retrievers found a special place in her heart. One in particular, Jake, who is five years old.  Jake misses his mom very much.  He sits in his chair and stares at her picture with a saddened heart.

Linda had a passion for traveling and loved all of God’s creations.  She especially loved to visit Branson, MO where she could see the mountains in all their splendor during the changing of the leaves.  She also enjoyed helping people, going to church and cooking holiday meals for her family and friends.   Her favorite holiday was Thanksgiving where she not only cooked the turkey and all the trimmings but also baked her specialty pies for all to enjoy.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Fleta Reneau, Sisters Carolyn Fouse and Grandparents William and Lilly Rogers and Robert and Ollie Reneau.

Linda is loved by all who knew her and will be missed by her husband Ronald Ford Sr.; son Ronald Ford Jr. and wife Tracey; daughter Deborah Travers; brother Leonard Reneau and wife Dee Dee; sister Wava Longley and husband Jim.  She had four grandchildren; Cody Thompson, Amanda Ashmore, Amelia Macknight, and Ariell Griggers.  Linda also lived to enjoy her great-grandchildren, Scarlett Ashmore, and Kali Thompson.
