Philip Ray Hilty, 64, of Quinlan passed away on October 21, 2023. He was born on August 8, 1959 in Jacksonville, TX to James Robert Hilty Sr. and Helen Hilty.
Philip was a member of Generation Faith Center. He was known to be the type of man who would do anything for anyone and would give the shirt off his back if someone needed it. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, softball, but one of his greatest things to do was to watch his granddaughter play basketball. Philip had many grandchildren and was known as Papa to them. He was also known to his friends as “brother-in-law”.
Philp is survived by his wife of 10 years, Susan Hilty; sons: Nathan Hitly of Ohio, Ricky Williams, Jr. of Austin, Waylon Williams and wife Cassidy of Austin, Lane Williams and wife Victoria of Quinlan; daughters: Heather Schell and husband Clint of Caddo Mills, Hannah Schmidt of Quinlan, Haley Hilty of Quinlan; mother, Helen Hilty of Quinlan; brothers: Kevin Adams and wife Sidra of Morristown, TN, Richard Adams and wife Vicki of Quinlan; sisters: Elizabeth Martin and husband David of Hillsboro, Kathy Gilliam and husband Duane of Morristown, TN; 19 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Philip was preceded in death by his father, James Robert Hilty, Sr.; brother, Robert Hilty, Jr.; sister, Phyliss Kay, and by his first wife, Barbara Hilty.
