Jean Johnson Leach, 100, of Greenville, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2024, surrounded by her loving sons. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 1, 2024, in the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Leach officiating. If weather is permitting, the interment will follow the service at Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1:00 PM until service time.
Jean was born on June 11, 1923, in Lone Oak, Texas, to Vernon C. Johnson and Ira Lee ”Johnnie” Jones Johnson. Jean married Jack Leach on October 15, 1943, in Greenville, Texas. Jean was a member of the Grace Presbyterian Church of Greenville, she was a homemaker and a retired dental receptionist. Jean loved spending time with her family and was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Jean is survived by her sons Jerry Leach of Greenville and Phil Leach of Colorado Springs, grandchildren Nate Leach of Washington, Dan Leach of Texas, Kristen Leach of Colorado Springs, and six great-grandchildren.
Jean is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers Merlo Johnson and Leighton Johnson, and one sister Norma Cheek.
Pallbearers will be Victor Paul, Bruce Walton, Danny Leach, Nate Leach, Steve Watkins, and Doug Roszhart.
