Robert Dean Evans, 75, of Celeste, passed peacefully at home on the morning of June 6, 2024. Robert was born on December 16, 1948, in Grapevine, Texas, to Irma Jean and Bobby Dean Evans.
Robert, known affectionately as Grumpy Ole Grandpa, was an amazing mechanic who liked to work on tractors. He honorably served his country as a career U.S. Navy man. When Robert retired from the Navy he transitioned to cattle ranching. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of almost 57 years, Sheila; daughter, Christie Yogi and her husband Terence; son, Michael Evans and his wife Abigail.
Robert is preceded in death by son, Patrick Evans.
There will be a family-led memorial service on Monday, June 10, at 2:00 PM at the Higher Trails Church in Merit.
