Ruby Nell Murphy, a beloved seamstress known for her skillful craftsmanship and warm heart, passed away on June 10, 2024, in Plano, Texas. She was born on February 21, 1946, in McKinney, Texas.

Throughout her life, Ruby displayed a remarkable talent for sewing that she honed before completing her high school education in McKinney. Her dedication to the art of sewing not only brought joy to those who wore her creations but also served as a lasting legacy to her unmatched skills.

Ruby will be fondly remembered by her surviving family and friends, including her loving husband Dorisey Murphy whom she married in Princeton, Texas on September 1, 1964, her children John Murphy his wife Kristy, Stephanie Miller her husband Tony, Michael Murphy his wife Jennifer, and stepdaughters Angela Lewis and Amy Cox. Her presence will be deeply missed by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren who were fortunate enough to have shared moments of love and laughter with their beloved matriarch.

In addition to her immediate family, Ruby is survived by her brother Bobby. She is preceded in death by her father Norman H Beste, mother Ruby Jeanette (McGrew) Beste, brothers Byron and Butch, as well as sister Clara.

Ruby Nell Murphy’s life was a testament to hard work, creativity, and unwavering love for those around her. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
