Nathan Doty, 83, of Irving, Texas passed away at home on October 31st, 2024.

There will be a funeral service at 11:00 am on Monday November 4, 2024 at Lynch Funeral Home Chapel in Caddo Mills, Texas.  A visitation will begin one hour prior at 10:00 am.

Nathan was born on November 16, 1940, in Quinlan, Texas.  He moved to Dallas at an early age and worked for Affiliated Foods for 29 years.  He was a member of the Teamsters Union Brotherhood.  While at Affiliated Foods he made many dear friends.  They all cherished their friendships by meeting for coffee or meals for many years.

On July 26, 2024, Nathan fell in his home resulting in a fractured left hip and femur.

Nathan never forgot his rural upbringing and loved to drive all the country roads, especially in Quinlan.  Being a country boy, his favorite foods were fried chicken and fried catfish.  He also enjoyed going to car races for many years in the Dallas area.  Nathan was an animal lover and was very fond of his cats and dogs.

Nathan is survived by his wife, Becky; son, Kelly Doty and wife D’Lana of Van, Texas; daughter, Shannon Reid and husband Sammy of Grand Saline, Texas; daughter, Rebecca Dovie Brough and husband Justin of Dallas, Texas; five beloved grandchildren; six cherished great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Nathan is preceded in death by his parents and eleven siblings.
