Billy Dean Anderson, age 75, of Quinlan peacefully went to his eternal resting place on Friday, October 18, 2024. A celebration of Billy’s life will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Our Savior Lutheran Church at 3003 Houston Road in Rockwall, Texas.

Bill Anderson was born on October 8, 1949, in Grapevine, Texas to William Edward Anderson and Patricia Mae Mackey Anderson. He was raised and attended school in Irving, where he met Linda Luther, and they married on April 19, 1974. For the first 10 years of their marriage, Bill and Linda traveled throughout Texas in his 1967 Ford Mustang (converted to 1968) with a 427 under the hood. Bill loved cars and had an incredible passion for drag racing. He was a talented mechanic and a staple in the community. He opened APS Alignment in Quinlan in 2007 and provided vehicle maintenance in the area for many years. Bill loved and appreciated his loyal customers. Bill enjoyed sharing his knowledge of cars and providing ideas for hot rods and race cars. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Rockwall. People welcomed Bill wherever he went. He was a wonderful friend and mentor to many people who consider him a legend. He enjoyed talking with friends and loving his family. Mr. Bill was a good man with a generous heart. He was a wonderful teacher who taught by example. He showed his sons how to be wonderful husbands and loving fathers. He leaves a beautiful legacy for his grandchildren.

He was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by his devoted wife of 50 years, Linda Anderson of Quinlan; sons, Jeffrey Edmund Anderson and wife Kendra of Quinlan and Mark Edward Anderson and wife Susan of Irving; grandchildren, Matthew Morris Anderson, Shelby Marie Anderson, James Sterling Anderson, and Samatha Lily Anderson; sisters, Karen Lynn Anderson Mashburn of Waxahachie and Norma Gail Krueger and husband Bill of Portugal. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Edward and Patricia Mae Anderson, and brothers, Michael James Anderson and John Miles Anderson.
