Amy Gayl Simmons, 56, of Greenville, TX, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2024. She worked at the City of Dallas, Love Field Airport. Amy had a passion for the simpler things in life, and she adored her pet birds, Pepper and Pickles.
A devoted Mom and a woman of Christian faith, Amy was known for her kind and loving spirit, as well as her bubbly and outgoing personality. Amy found joy in spending time with her family, especially her two grandsons, Julius and Alex.
Amy is survived by her loving husband, Robert Simmons; her children, Zakkary Elliott Wages, Jared Ethan Atkins, Cheyenne Elizabeth Atkins, and Sommer Elise Atkins; her mother, Diana Scurlock; her brothers, Donnie Jones, Scott Jones, Donald Jones, Sean Wages, and Christopher Grace; her sisters, Stephanie Terral and Tracie Crawford; and her cherished grandsons, Julius Eli Garcia and Alexandru Jay Garcia.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM on Friday, November 15, 2024, followed by the funeral service at 10:30 AM at Lynch Funeral Service Chapel in Greenville, TX. The burial will be at Ringwood Cemetery in New Boston, TX.
