Scott Channing Guyton’s legacy began in Dallas, Texas, on December 9, 1969, and concluded peacefully on November 21, 2024, at 54 years young. While Scott has left this earth, his spirit continues to echo through the lives he so lovingly touched.
Growing up in Texas, Scott had a natural-born allegiance to the Dallas Cowboys, a passion that carried through his life like a proud anthem. A resident of Quinlan, Scott was a fiercely loyal and loving man. He treasured his soulmate, Tracey Pitre Guyton, who stood by his side throughout life’s adventures. Scott was a devoted son and carried his father Ken’s values and the memories they shared together in his heart. Music was among Scott’s many passions, particularly Classic Country that harmonized with his soul. He was a man who devoted time and heart to his community, helping those less fortunate, showing the unconditional love he held within.
Scott was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Earl Guyton, Ted Guyton (uncle), Johnny Nailling (cousin) and Grandparents Amos and Marjorie Guyton. Scott is leaving behind “His People,” as he called them: Dak and Shelli Guyton, Kimberly Wagoner, Brandie Guyton, Sue Wallace, and Linda Guyton a.k.a. Birdie, all of Quinlan, TX. Mike and Rebekah Bow of Greenville, TX and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifelong friends.
Join us in celebrating Scott’s life at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Lynch Funeral Service Chapel in Greenville, as we gather to reflect on the memories and the immense love he spread. His kindness, laughter, and unwavering loyalty will not be forgotten. Remember to cheer for the Cowboys, as Scott would have, and say proudly, “How ‘bout them Cowboys?”
