Mildred Jean (Butler) Sadler, 83, passed away on February 22, 2025, in Caddo Mills, Texas. Jean was a dedicated accountant who worked for H&R Block for many years. She was also a skilled master quilter and was an active member of numerous quilting guilds throughout her life. Her quilts, like her spirit, were crafted with care and precision, a reflection of her loving nature.
Jean will be remembered for her toughness, independence, and strong-willed nature, but also for the deep love and care she showed to those around her. She was a proud mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.
Jean is survived by her son, Ted Young, Sr. and wife Patty; daughter, Carla Forbis and husband Jeff; grandchildren, Ted Young, Jr. and fiancée Rachel, Dakota Forbis and wife Taylor, Denver Forbis, Jeffrey Sadler and wife Chelsea, Grace Sadler, and Sean Sadler; along with numerous great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her sisters, Barbara Hauser and husband Stephen, Diana Lynn Wickline and husband Charlie, and sister-in-law Ethie Butler, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family and beloved friends.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dell Sandler, her sons Timothy Wayne Young and Jeffrey Dell Sadler, her brother Carl Butler, Jr., and her sister Patricia Peterson.
