Bobby Carry Lyday, age 88, of Quinlan, Texas, passed away on March 6, 2025. Born on November 10, 1936, to Omer and Leta (Aven) Lyday, Bobby lived a life full of adventure, joy, and love for the outdoors. He was a devout Baptist and held his faith close to his heart throughout his life.
Bobby was an avid outdoorsman who cherished deer hunting, fishing, and skiing. His love for nature was evident in everything he did, and he encouraged everyone around him to enjoy life to the fullest. His adventurous spirit, combined with his easygoing nature, made him a beloved figure in his community.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Evaughn Lyday, and his children: Mike Lyday and wife Diane, Terry Kizer and husband Darin, Kristi Lyday, Jeff Lyday and husband Charlie, Chris Lyday and wife Cammie, Charles Bryant Jr. and wife Sarah, Lisa Rowe and husband Greg, and Jason Bryant and wife Ginger. He is also survived by his brothers Richard Lyday and wife Beverly, and Larry Lyday and wife Ruth.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Omer and Leta (Aven) Lyday; his siblings Gilford, Frances, Harold, Bethleen and Patsy; and his first wife, Barbara Lyday.
A visitation will be held on March 10, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Lynch Funeral Service Chapel. The funeral service will be held on March 11, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Lynch Funeral Service Chapel, followed by a procession to Rockwall Memorial Cemetery.
Bobby’s legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will remember his love for life, his sense of adventure, and the joy he brought to every occasion. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
