Roger Dee Nicholson, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and respected businessman, passed away surrounded by his loving family on March 21, 2025, at the age of 80. Born in McKinney, Texas, he was the son of Curtis and Jettie Johnson Nicholson.
Roger married his sweetheart, Reba Wood, on July 10, 1964. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments. As the owner of Nicholson’s Used Cars in Greenville, Roger was known for his warm smile, honesty, and generosity. He was happiest when out on Lake Tawakoni, fishing with his best friends and soaking in the beauty of the water.
Roger leaves behind his loving wife, Reba Nicholson; daughters, Cheryl Nicholson (Dror Golan) and Kellie Harris (Bryan); grandchildren, Emily Beratto (Chase), Eric Harris (Whitney), Scarlet Walls, and Aiden Walls; and great-grandchildren, Emmy Beratto, Graham Harris, and Heidi Harris. He is also survived by his siblings: Pete (Betty) Nicholson, Martha Nicholson, Monty (Kay Childers) Nicholson, Rita Nicholson, and Dori Nicholson, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Jettie Nicholson, and his brothers, Curtis Wayne Nicholson and Allen Nicholson.
A celebration of Roger’s life will be held at Coker-Mathews Chapel on March 29 at 2:00 p.m., with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Memoryland Memorial Park following the service.
Roger’s love for his family and the joy he found in life will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His laughter, wisdom, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
