Rob Moore, beloved voice of Greenville radio and respected figure in the Texas wrestling community, passed away on Tuesday. April 15, 2025 in Sulphur Springs, Texas. He was 63.

Born on September 16, 1961, he was a 1980 graduate of Greenville High School. Rob began his media career at the Greenville Herald-Banner and soon became a staple on local airwaves, working at KGVL-AM (1400), KIKT-FM (93.5), and 105.9 FM. Known as “Cousin Rob” in his early days, his voice became a familiar part of daily life—delivering news, voicing commercials, and bringing personality to the airwaves.

Rob’s passion extended to professional wrestling, where he began announcing matches in 1984. Over the years, he became a celebrated play-by-play commentator and was inducted into several wrestling halls of fame. His contributions earned him numerous honors, including lifetime achievement awards and the Killer Tim Brooks Award.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Tonya, who shared his love of music, wrestling, and life. Her heartfelt tribute describes Rob as a kind, gentle soul, beloved by both fans and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Authentic Life Fellowship Church, 1914 Joe Ramsey Blvd., Greenville, Texas. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Rob’s unmistakable voice and genuine spirit leave a lasting legacy in both the radio and wrestling worlds. He will be deeply missed.
