Patricia Elizabeth Underwood, 89, of Quinlan went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, April 17, 2025, at home surrounded by family. Funeral Services celebrating Pat’s life will be held at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan, on Tuesday (April 22, 2025) at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Nathan Presley officiating with burial to follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery (IOOF).
Mrs. Underwood, was born March 16, 1936, in New York, New York. She was the daughter of the late Richard Daly and Margaret Donnelly Daly Wright. She married Billy Eugene Underwood on August 4, 1951 and made their home in El Paso, Texas where Pat was a housewife and they later moved to East Texas where in 1977, after her children were grown, Pat graduated from nursing school and became a LVN. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 58 years Billy, her son David Weldon Underwood, her daughter Patricia Elaine Miller, daughter-in-law Robin Wardle, and beloved grandson Trey Dylan Berry. Also, sister Peggy Miles and brother Jerry Wright.
Pat’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was quick witted, and funny. She was always available to sew a costume for drill team, drive a kid to buy shoes, run forgotten homework to the school, take kids for driver’s licenses, help paint a house, or anything big or small she was asked. She always jumped in to lend a hand or doctor a wound. She was a source of strength for her family often reminding them that “you come from strong stock”. She adored all her grandchildren. She loved bird watching and vacation at the beach.
She was dearly loved and will be missed by her sister Maureen (Mo) Nowak, her daughters Sharon Skinner & husband James of Campbell, and Debbie Underwood of Quinlan. Grandchildren, Rebecca Vasquez, Teresa Berry, Coco Green, Dustin Underwood, Matthew Martin, David Kirklin, Danny Underwood, and Lauren Miller. Great-Grandchildren Ashleigh, Preston, Christian, Gabriella, Tucker, Kadentz, McKinley, Skyler, Devon, David, Patience Lee, Jaxon, and Knyles. Great-Great Grandchildren Aiden, Leila, Zeplin, Hunter, Remy, Rowan, and Casper. And numerous nieces and nephews.
Pall Bearers will be Dustin Underwood, Danny Underwood, Matthew Martin, David Kirklin, Tucker Berry, and Christian Vasquez
