Linda Gail Williams, born on December 14,1941, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025 at the age of 83. She was the second child and first daughter of Dewey Sterling Barker and Johnnie Hazel Steed Barker. Her life was filled with love, laughter, and deep connection to her family.

On August 19, 1960, she said “I do” to her forever love, Durell Reeves Williams. They shared a lifelong love story that time only deepened. They welcomed two sons, Brian D Williams and Brad Lee Williams.

She had a varied and accomplished career starting in media at the local radio station and the Herald Banner newspaper, and later bringing her trademark charm and dedication to her role as a Territory Manager with Nestle Food Company.  When she retired, she enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, friends and of course, watching The Price is Right and her favorite soap opera!

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Dewey Wayne Barker, her husband Durell, and three generations of Williams men she held close in her heart: her son Brian, her grandson Nathan, and her great grandson Huckston. In addition to her immediate family, she will be welcomed into Heaven by a host of cherished relatives and friends.

She is survived by her son and daughter in law Brad and Sherrina Williams, her grandson Weston Williams and wife, Aubrey and her beloved great grandsons, Koeston, Riggston, and Daxton.

She is also survived by her sister, Lana Barker Dollgener, who held the coveted title of “Favorite Sister” — a role made easier by being the only sister.

Many other family members are left to grieve her loss, including three nephews to whom she was especially close:  John White, Garett Dollgener, and Eric Barker.

Her legacy is one of deep love, infectious laughter, and an unmatched ability to be delightfully particular about absolutely everything.
