With broken hearts but deep gratitude for the love she gave so freely, we announce the passing of Linda Sue Hanna Willett on July 21, 2025, at the age of 66. Born and raised in Kaufman, Texas, Linda’s life was defined by compassion, resilience, and the kind of warmth that made everyone feel at home.

Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and a friend to many. She is survived by her husband Robert “Grumpy” Willett, daughter Angelia Meyer, and stepson James Robert and wife, Cathy Willett . She was a proud and doting grandmother to Alexis White, Jaden Meyer, Ellie Mae Willett, Cristi Meyer, Savanna Willett, Aurora Meyer, and Catherine Meyer, and a great-grandmother to Dartanian Sullivan. Her beloved furbaby Lucy also remained faithfully by her side.

She now reunites in peace with her parents, Danny Edward Wayne Hanna Sr. and Evelene Thompson Whiddon, whose love she carried in her heart throughout her life.

Linda lived with incredible grace and selflessness. She was a quiet sanctuary for others—always willing to listen without judgment, always ready with open arms and a kind word. Many found comfort in her presence, and she gave hugs freely and often, never missing a moment to remind her family and friends how deeply she loved them.

A woman of many passions, Linda adored reading, listening to music, and spending time with her grandchildren, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond. She was also a dedicated animal lover, a value she carried through every stage of her life.

Professionally, Linda made a lasting impact as a Legal Aid at The Law Offices of J. Cameron Cowan & Associates, where she earned the praise of Cameron himself, who called her “the best legal aid” he ever had. Her commitment, intelligence, and quiet strength left a mark in every life she touched—professionally and personally.

A memorial service to celebrate Linda’s life will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan, TX. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend and honor her life.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to The Glioblastoma Foundation in Linda’s memory—continuing her legacy of care and compassion for others.

Though our hearts are heavy, Linda’s love lives on in every story shared, every grandchild’s smile, and every hug we give in her honor. She will forever be missed, forever remembered, and forever loved.
