Walter Lenard Tucker, Jr.“Junior,”72 of Quinlan, TX passed away on October 10, 2019. He was born on June 10, 1947 to Walter Sr., and Dorothy Steddum Tucker in San Antonio, TX.
Walter “Junior” was an aircraft electrician for U.S. Air Force until retirement in 1989. In 1969 he was drafted into the Army where he served for 2 years including going to Vietnam. He will be remembered for his outstanding sense of humor. He proudly served his country and comes from a family that has served in the U.S. Military for over 140+ years, some are currently serving.
He enjoyed fishing, traveled around the world, but he especially loved traveling within the states. During his retirement from 1990 to 1996 he and his wife Pamela owned and operated Tucker Tires in Eastland, Texas.
Junior is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Pamela Tucker; Sons; Cory Tucker (Tina); Shaun Tucker (Susan), daughter; Mortisha Manley (Todd); grandson; Johnathon Manley (Melissa), great-grandchildren; Noah Manley, Jonah Manley, Kinderlee Manley, siblings; Patricia Jean, Terry Ewing, Mike Tucker. There are numerous nieces and nephews, best friend; Jody Lucky, along with a host of loving relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and 3 siblings, Patrick, Carolyn, and June.
The family will have a memorial/committal service in honor of his life and military career at (time to be determined) on (date to be determined) at the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas.
