Kenneth Ray Butler, 83, of Merit, died Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Farmersville Health and Rehabilitation. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 24, 2020 at Merit Cemetery with Rev. Samuel Glenn officiating. Visitation will be 8:00 Am to 5:00 PM, Saturday, May 23, 2020 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Mr. Butler was born in Greenville, Texas on August 4, 1936. He was the son of T. T. (Tim) Butler and Maudie Melverda Allen Butler. He married Genelle Kuykendall on June 20, 1954 at Floyd Baptist Church. He owned and operated Kenneth Butler Foundation Repair in Greenville.
Survivors include his wife, Genelle Butler; son, Lyndel Butler and wife Tammy; daughter, Janis Neal; brothers, Don Butler and wife Beryl and Bobby Butler and wife Sharon; grandchildren, Jason Campbell and wife Trena, Tawnya White and husband Corey, Stephanie Allard, Megan Gunnels and husband Casey; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Lyndel Butler, Jason Campbell, Eli Gunnels, Dwayne Adams, Donnie Brown, Tim Butler, Bobby Butler, Calem White and Kyton White. Honorary pallbearers will be Dwayne Patterson and Don Butler.
