Robert Dewey Davis went to be with the Lord, Friday, August 15, 2020 in Greenville, Texas. A graveside service will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Caddo Mills I.O.O.F. Cemetery with Pastor Rick Sydnor. Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
He was born in Reager Springs, Texas on November 8, 1932 to Dewey Davis and Vivian Raulston. He married Rheda Faye Smith Davis. He served in the United States Army and National Guard. He retired from Raytheon; after his retirement, he enjoyed serving in the Hunt County Honor Guard.
He served 8 years at New Hope Baptist Church in Lone Oak. He later became a faithful member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church in Greenville. He enjoyed his membership in the Sons of the American Revolution as well as a number of genealogical organizations.
He is survived by a sister, Frances Simmons of Tyler, Texas and brother, J.W. Davis of Denton, Texas and many relatives and friends.
