Cathy Lorene Evans, 66, of Greenville, TX passed away on June 21, 2021. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Steve Payne officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, June 25, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Cathy was born June 2, 1955 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Cathy was a devoted and loving wife, mother, aunt and grandmother. She spent the majority of her career in the oil and gas industry as an accountant, controller and mentor to many. She served on the Board of Directors of Children’s Craniofacial Association, an organization very near and dear to her heart, from 1991 to 1996. At which time she became the Business Manager until 2008. In recent years she was a member of the Soroptimist International of Rockwall.
Left to cherish her life, love and memories is her husband of 42 years, John H. Evans; mother, Mildred Laird; sister, Lisa Heidger; daughters Lisa Nicole Evans and Jennifer Smith and husband Nate; granddaughters, Mackenzie, Kate and Lillian Smith; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, J.H. Laird.
Honoring Cathy as pallbearers will be: Nate Smith, Lee Smith, Cody Evans, Joey Evans, Glenn Laird and Brad Carr.
