James Robert Andrews, Sr., 57, of Quinlan passed away on January 8, 2022. He was born on December 14, 1964 in Mesquite to Leon and Mary Andrews.
James was raised in Mesquite where he attended Mesquite High School. He married his wife, Jennifer on September 21, 1989 and they were married for 32 years.
He was a supervisor for ZEP and later became a letter carrier with the United States Post Office.
One of the most rewarding things James enjoyed doing was coaching his children’s football teams with Quinlan Sports Association and went on to coach his grandson’s team in Greenville.
James was known to love history and knowledge. He loved to read and knew the Bible very well. He also enjoyed cars and watching TV shows pertaining to cars. But above all else, James loved his family and grandchildren very much.
James is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer; son, James “Jay” Robert Andrews II and wife, Kimberly of Greenville; daughters: Janee’ Redd and husband, Edd of Fate, Jarae’ Andrews of Quinlan; brother, George Andrews; sisters: Nora James, Windy Spears; grandchildren: James “Jase” Robert Andrews III, Kambree Jaye Redd and Canaan Elliott Andrews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Rocky Andrews; and sister, Debbie Patti.
There will be a family viewing from 5-6 pm on Thursday, January 20, 2022 with a public visitation following from 6-7 pm at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral Service will be at 2:30 pm on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow service at IOOF Cemetery in Quinlan.
