Graveside service for Mamie Louise Redd, age 85, of Farmersville will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Thompson Cemetery in Nevada with Tim Redd officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 P.M. on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Peters Funeral Home. Mamie passed away on Friday, April 22, 2022 at Lexington Medical Lodge, Farmersville.
Mamie was born on November 23, 1936 in Dallas, TX to Robert and Ella Jones. She married Harold Gene Hollye Redd on May 5, 1973 in Wylie, TX. Mamie was a hat maker for many years, she also enjoyed reading, and watching TV and adored spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Jan Barrows; son, Tim Redd; granddaughters, Courtney Richburg, Chelsea Redd, Holly Barrows, and Sofia Redd; grandsons, Wylder Barrows, and Brendon Redd; great-granddaughter, Skylar Joanne Barrows; great-grandson, Gavin Parker Croyle; sister, Juanita Ballew, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Mamie was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Redd; parents, Robert and Ella Jones; brothers, Wallace Jones, and William “Bill” Jones; sisters, Evelyn Harrison, Doris Buckley, Helen McGuire, and Sissy Ballew.
