Mazie Marjean Crabtree Coker, 93, of Campbell, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 11, 2022, at her residence. Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at 11:00 AM, in the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Royce Litchfield officiating. Interment will follow the service at Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday starting at 10:00 Am until service time.
Mazie was born on January 5, 1929, in Sagerton, Texas to Irene Glass Crabtree and Scott Earl Crabtree. Mazie moved to Glen Rose where she met the love of her life Harold Ray Coker and were married on July 7, 1945, in Glen Rose, Texas. Mazie and Harold later moved to Greenville. Mazie was in the restaurant business both owning and working for other people. She was well known for her delicious pies and hamburgers. Mazie was a caregiver always taking care of other people. She loved all her family very much and helped take care of many of them.
Mazie was a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church. She loved the Lord very much and spent many hours studying her Bible. Before her health deteriorated, she taught a woman’s Sunday school class.
Hannah Mazie Marjean Mulligan was named after her grandmother along with a great-granddaughter Mazie Lane Walker was also named after her. All five generations of her family loved her very much.
Mazie is survived by her 3 children Shirley Ferguson, Barbara Kilgore & husband Jackson and Jimmie Coker & wife Cindy, and 9 grandchildren: Jeff Ferguson & wife Susan, Jarred Ferguson & wife Rhonda, Justin Ferguson, Matt Kilgore & wife Amanda, Andy Kilgore & wife Heather, Amanda Thurman & husband Bradley, Charlie Coker & wife Moorea, Holly Mulligan & husband John Paul, and Julie Barnard & husband John Mark, 23 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Mazie is preceded in death by her husband Harold Coker, her parents, sister Eugena Miller, brother Scott Crabtree Jr., son-in-law Larry Ferguson, and great-grandson Richey Mulligan.
Pallbearers will be Josh Ferguson, Jacob Ferguson, Bailey Ferguson, Caden Marshall, Jaxson Marshall, Gus Kilgore, Jade Sumrall, Kobe Coker, and Brendan Mulligan.
