Denise Lovell (McGowan) Neal, 64, of Greenville, Texas was called to the Lord on January 28, 2023. Denise was born to Ora Lovell Burns and Lorne Emory McGowan on June 12, 1958, in Escondido, California.
Denise was known for being a free-spirited person who loved to dance to all kinds of music. She had a steadfast faith in God and attended Covenant Fellowship Church. Denise was well known since she worked as a cashier at the Quinlan Wal-Mart for over 14 years. She also loved animals and raised many German Shepherds who all had a piece of her heart.
Denise is survived by her daughter, Deana Cantrall-McAbee and husband James. Grandchildren: Destiny Lovell, Devlin Daugherty (Marrisa), Skyla Daugherty (Cameron), and bonus grandchildren: Justin Konopka, Annalea Bowman, Kenzie McClure, Chloe Overstreet, and Keeks. Mother, Ora Lovell McGowan; sisters: Joan Burris, Kaye Gregory, and brother, Clayton McGowan. Denise is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, loved ones, and friends.
Denise is preceded in death by her father, Lorne “Mac” McGowan and nephew, Lorne McGowan.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 2, 2023, at 1:00 PM in the Lynch Funeral Service Chapel. Brother Todd Barnes will be leading the service. A visitation will take place on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at Lynch Funeral Service from 5:00-7:00 PM.
