Andrea Irwin, a talented cake decorator, passed away on May 23, 2024, in Quinlan, Texas. She was born on March 2, 1947, in San Antonio, Texas, to Arthur and Kathleen Mathaus. Andrea, known for her meticulous work and creative flair in the world of baking and decorating cakes, leaves behind a legacy that will be by many.

Throughout her life, Andrea brought joy to countless people through her beautifully crafted confections. Her passion for cake decorating shone through in every project she undertook, making birthdays, weddings, and special occasions even more memorable with her delectable creations.

Andrea was a faithful member of the Catholic Church. She was dedicated to the Church and attended services regularly.

Andrea is survived by her sons Alan Nichols and his wife Cathy, James Nichols and his wife April, and Joe Nichols; grandchildren Martin, Barry, Trysta, Daniel, and Macayla; as well as her brother Eddie Mathaus and his wife Kris. In the midst of their loss, may they find solace in the precious memories they shared with Andrea.

Andrea is preceded in death by her loving husband, Harry Irwin, her daughter, Mary Grace Nichols, and her parents.

Her warm smile and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Andrea’s dedication to her craft and the love she poured into each cake she decorated will always be remembered fondly.
