Anthony William De Piazza, 85, of Greenville, Texas, formerly of Las Cruces, New Mexico, passed away on November 26, 2023 in Greenville, Texas. A funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Commerce, Texas on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. Coker-Mathew Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. De Piazza was born March 27, 1938 in Little Falls, New York to Samuel W. De Piazza and Angela A. Lamanna De Piazza. Anthony married Carmela T. Accardi on April 26, 1959 in Brooklyn, New York, making their home and raising their family in Little Falls, New York. He was the owner and proprietor of an automotive service center known as Sam’s Super Service.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Carmela T. (Accardi) De Piazza, daughter Franca M. De Piazza-Eye, and husband (Einar) of Greenville, Texas; son James A. De Piazza and wife (Laura) of Pagosa Springs, Colorado; brother Ronald A. De Piazza and wife (Joanne) of Las Cruces, New Mexico; grandson Vincent A. De Piazza and fiancée (Lori Arion) of Trenton, Texas; grandson Zachariah A. Eye and wife (Ashley) of Little Rock, Arkansas; grandson Joseph A. De Piazza of Nolanville, Texas; and great-granddaughters Bella Eye and Baker Mae Eye; with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Anthony was preceded in death by his father Sam, his mother Angie, and his brother John.
After graduation, Anthony served in the United States Army. He was a member of the Basilica of San Albino, Mesilla, New Mexico, a reverent servant of the Holy Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Trail West Bocce Club.
Anthony’s true passion was his family and serving others. His endless love and wisdom are forever with us and all who knew him.
