Barbara Sue Winans Henington, 87, of Dallas, formerly of Greenville, TX promoted to Heaven on July 4, 2019 in Waco, TX. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 8, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home in Greenville, TX with Dr. Steven L. Mansen officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City, TX. Visitation will be Sunday, July 7, 2019 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Barbara was born in Greenville, Texas on July 29, 1931 to Hermann Sockwell Winans and Marguerite Morrow Winans. She married Bruce Eugene Henington of Wolfe City, TX on June 23, 1951 at the Central Christian Church in Greenville, TX . She was a Certified Dyslexia Therapist at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas, TX for 25 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Barbara is survived by her brother Howard Winans and wife, Carol, her two sons: Wayne Henington and wife, Tamela; Bryan Henington and wife, Lisa; two daughters: Shelley Hatridge and husband, Victor; Wendy Mansen and husband, Steven; grandchildren: Kyle Hatridge and wife ,Sarah K.; Sarah Hatridge Sandora and husband , John; Tracy Henington Holmes and husband, Ryan; Todd Henington and wife, Nicole; Corey Mansen, Lindsay Mansen, Grace Henington, and Evan Henington; great-grandchildren: Claire Sandora, Kaitlyn Sandora , Bruce Hatridge and Walter Hatridge; niece: Kim Winans; nephew: Brady Winans and wife, Valerie and their children, Jensen and Charlie; and cousin, Patsy Clark.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, The Leukemia Society, Samaritan’s Purse —Cleft Pallet; Gideon International, or the charity of your choice.
