Graveside services for Beverly Jean Day Mix, 92, of Lone Oak, are scheduled for 12 p.m., Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Hooker Cemetery, Lone Oak, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Lone Oak.

Mrs. Mix passed away Thursday, June 27, 2024, in Haslet. She was born November 28, 1931, in Bolivar, NY, to Guy and Crystal Day. On May 10, 1948, she married Charles Mix, of Bolivar, NY, in Hagertown, MD. He passed away after 62 years of marriage, leaving her with a lifetime of memories. In 1960, she started working as a nurse’s aide in Olean, NY. Later in life, she had several other jobs including working at an electrical plant, a dry cleaner and laundry, an insurance office paying medical claims, two doctors’ offices, and as a teacher’s aide for Lone Oak ISD. On December 20, 2015, she married Earnest Crain of Quinlan, TX. He passed away on August 7, 2023. Beverly was a member of the Lone Oak Civic Club and Lone Oak Assembly of God Church.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Charles Mix and Earnest Crain; daughter, Mary (Mickey) Rawdon and husband Ronnie Rawdon; grandson, Ronnie Rawdon, Jr.; sisters, Beatrice Richardson, Joan James, Virginia Puckett, and Guyla Greer; brothers, Guy Day, Keith Day, and Robert Day.

Survivors include her son, Charles (Rick) Mix and wife Claire of Rockwall; daughter, Wanda Frazier and husband Gary of Cedar Hill; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at 11 a.m., Wednesday, at Bartley Funeral Home, Lone Oak.
