Billy Cook, 89, of Campbell died Tuesday in Greenville. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Friday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Glenn Cook and Rev. Robert Cook officiating. Interment will be in Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Cook was born in Hunt County, Texas on February 15, 1930. He was the son of Sam Cook and Margaret Wood Cook. He married Geraldine Carr on April 24, 1946 in Durant, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death. He later married Virginia Ruth Horton Sasser in Campbell, Texas on February 22, 1993. He was the longtime owner of Billy Cook Saddle Company and a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Sasser Cook; son, Xavier Cook; daughters, Mary Garcia, Billie Cook and Makayla Cook; step-son, Milton Sasser; brother, Herbert Cook and wife Marie; and grandchildren, Cynthia Garcia, Dominic Garcia, Caleb Sasser, Jacob Morgan and Katy Baker. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife; daughter, Mary Cook; son, Sammy Cook; and brothers, Glenn Cook, Sr. and J. C. Cook.
Pallbearers will be Miguel Rico, Tony Orsonio, Rutilo Orsonio, Rubin Orsonio, Jose Martinez and Martin Turrubiantes.Billy was a loving father and loved by his loving family.
