Billy Dale Pier, 78, of Greenville, passed away on May 19, 2024, at Hunt Regional Medical Center. A Graveside service will be Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 2:00 PM, at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City with Pastor Stan Coleman officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday night from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Billy was born on January 25, 1946, in Greenville, Texas to Sam Pier Sr. and Marion Wagner Pier. Billy was a United States Navy Veteran and was a retired engineer from the Texas State Highway Department.
Billy is survived by Patricia Lay, stepson, Cody Glenn; daughter, Brooke Wright; grandchildren, Danny Glenn, Eve Glenn, Leia Glenn, Robert Kirk and Lily Wright.
Billy was preceded by his parents, one brother, wife Barbara Derryberry in 2013.
Pallbearers will be Trevor Wright, Brooke Wright, Cory McElwrath, and Wade Lunsford.
