Billy Douglas Powell, 45, of Caddo Mills, passed away on July 7, 2019 at his residence. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Royce Litchfield and Dr. Chet Haney officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at the funeral home.
Mr. Powell was born January 1, 1974 in Denton, Texas to Ross Powell and Billye Kaye Lee. He worked as a safety consultant and was a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church. His passions and loves were his children and guitars. He walked with the Lord and knew Him intimately. He had a very close and loving relationship with his nephew, Joah.
He is survived by his parents, Ross and Kaye Powell; son, Marshall Powell; daughter, Kayelee Powell; sister, Buffy Powell; nephew, Joah Escalante; along with numerous other cousins.
He is preceded in death by his nephew, Jay Escalante, grandfather, Billy Lee, paternal grandparents, James and Loretta Kitchens and aunt, Kathy Howard.
