U.S. Veteran

Bobby Allen Cook, age 74, of Farmersville, Texas, passed on April 27, 2025. Born on August 29, 1950, in Farmersville to Tom and Imalee (Sneed) Cook, Bobby lived a life rooted in faith, family, and hard work.

Early in life, Bobby worked as a welder, a trade that reflected his strong hands and determined spirit. He proudly served in the U.S. Army for two years as a weatherman, an experience he carried with pride throughout his life.

In retirement, Bobby found great joy in the simple pleasures—gardening and caring for his cows. He was an active member of the Bull Creek Cowboy Church, where he was affectionately known as the “Donut Man” for his kind spirit and sweet generosity, as well as Top Rail Cowboy Church.

Bobby was a huge influence in his grandchildren’s lives and took pride in raising them. He enjoyed teaching them as well as teasing them. He taught Ty a lot about becoming a good man and was a model of how to treat women right. He also taught Kalie how to be responsible and was a solid safe place to go whenever she needed him.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Venita Cook; his children, Waylon Cook and wife Stephanie, and Amanda Cook and fiancé Foster Sheffield; and his beloved grandchildren, Kalie Cook and fiancé James Sayman, and Ty Watkins and girlfriend Alexis Gober. He also leaves behind his sister, Gene Walls; brother, William Cook and wife Cyndy; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and cherished friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Imalee (Sneed) Cook, and his brother, Ricky Wilson.

A service to celebrate Bobby’s life will be held at Lynch Funeral Service Chapel in Greenville, Texas, on May 3, 2025 at 11:00 AM.

Bobby’s warmth, humor, and unwavering kindness touched all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
