Boice Dee Taylor, 82, passed away on February 2, 2025. He was born on February 16, 1942, to William and Cleo Taylor in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Boice was a devoted member of the Church of Christ and lived a life grounded in faith, family, and hard work.

Boice spent 21 ½ years working in the oil field, dedicating his life to providing for his family. Later, he embraced the role of a house parent at Boles Home, where he found great joy in guiding and caring for “his boys.” His strong work ethic and commitment to helping others were evident in everything he did.

Boice was one of 13 siblings and cherished time with his family, especially his beloved grandson, Dakota.  He loved fishing and spent countless hours working on and restoring his cherished Volkswagen Beetle alongside his son Eric.

He is survived by his son, Eric Taylor and wife Tracy; grandson, Dakota Taylor and wife Lilly; brother, Ronnie Taylor and wife Charlotte; numerous nieces and nephews along with a host of loving friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, William and Cleo Taylor; wife, Peggy Taylor; siblings: Lloyd Tayor, Buford Taylor, J.B. Taylor, Wesley Taylor, Danny Taylor, Gerold Taylor, Herold Taylor, Wilma Painter, Betty English, Ruth Cliff, and Fern Larabee.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 6-8 PM at Lynch Funeral Service Chapel in Greenville, Texas. The funeral service will take place on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Wylie Church of Christ in Wylie, Texas. Interment will follow at 3:00 PM at Lynch Memorial Park in Greenville, Texas.

Boice will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to others, and his enduring faith.
