Brenda Sue Hannah, 72, of Commerce, Tx. passed away Sunday afternoon, May 21, 2023 at Hunt Regional Healthcare Facility in Greenville, Tx. She was born in Hyden, Kentucky on February 24, 1951, the daughter of John Simpson and Sally Hoskins Simpson. Following High School, Brenda took business classes and attended cosmetology school. She worked as a beautician and owned her own beauty shop for some time. She also worked as a vacuum conductor operator for a pipeline company before getting into the security guard profession. Some of her favorite past times included sewing and fishing and she loved animals as well.
Brenda is survived by three sons: Billy Simpson, Larry Simpson, Chris Simpson and one daughter: Mirenda Young. Other survivors include her grandchildren, Amanda Young, Jeffery Simpson, James Simpson, Chris Simpson and Thomas Parnell; she is also survived by three brothers: Joe Simpson, Red Simpson, Willey Simpson and two sisters: Martha Bailey and Ruth Fonts.
Visitation for Ms. Hannah will be held in the Jones-Walker Funeral Chapel in Commerce on Friday May 26, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. and funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Terry Bryan officiating. A private family burial will follow the funeral service in the Ladonia Cemetery in Ladonia, Tx.
