Brian Gibson, 58, of Greenville passed away Monday, September 6, 2021 at Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 11th at 6:30 PM at the Lone Oak High School Stadium with Jeff Jackson and Bob Ferguson officiating. A private burial will be held at Memoryland Memorial Park. There will be no formal visitation; however, the family would like for his friends to go by Coker-Mathews Funeral Home to pay their respects and sign his register book.
Brian was born April 6, 1963 in Dallas to Joe B. Gibson and Janet (Beery) Gibson. On September 4, 1982 in Greenville, he married Lori Busby. Brian was the owner and operator of Gibson Automotive in Greenville. He was an active member of Bull Creek Cowboy Church in Lone Oak. Brian had many hobbies and interests. First of all, he loved testifying and discipling for the LORD. He loved his family and spending time with them. Brian was a pilot and enjoyed flying. He loved fishing, hunting, boating, golfing, camping, collecting items for his shop, sitting in the hot tub, driving his tractor, working his cattle, helping in disaster zones, watching anything starring John Wayne, going to lunch with Chance Donaghe, taking trips to Arkansas, and his newest passion was hitting consignment shops with his wife, Lori.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Lori Gibson of Greenville; mother Janet Gibson of Greenville; daughter Stefani Maiwelmal and husband, Travis of Greenville; son Kyle Gibson and wife, Shaely of Greenville; grandchildren Tavin Maiwelmal, Hudson Maiwelmal, Case Gibson and Allie Jo Gibson; bonus children Chance Davis and wife, Ashli of Greenville; Sheena Taylor and husband, Cliff of Rockwall; Rodney Hammerstrom of Sioux Falls, SD; and many more.
Brian was preceded in death by his father, Joe B. Gibson; sister Kathleen Williams-Mills; and brother Gregory Gibson.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Hunt Regional Healthcare Foundation, P. O. Box 1059, Greenville, TX 75403.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Gibson, Travis Maiwelmal, Tavin Maiwelmal, Case Gibson, Hudson Maiwelmal, Allie Jo Gibson, Chance Davis, and Chance Donaghe. Honorary pallbearers will be all the special people in Brian’s life and you know who you are
