Bulah Lee Russell Wilbanks passed away July 20, 2021 at 6:25 P.M. She was living at Colonial Lodge Tender Care in Greenville, Texas.
Bulah was born to Charles Lottie Meredith and Johnnie Cleve Luster Russell on August 17, 1928. She was the oldest of five children. Bulah grew up in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Creekside Church of Christ in Greenville, Texas.
Mrs. Wilbanks married James Wesley Wilbanks on June 2, 1951 in Abilene, Texas. James and Bulah worked with churches of Christ all over the United States. James was a Gospel preacher and Bulah taught Ladies’ Bible Classes and teenage girls’ classes. After James passed away, she became involved in World Bible School. While working with World Bible School, she taught thousands of students over the years.
Bulah is survived by a daughter Belinda Lee Wilbanks of Greenville, Texas, a brother Johnnie Cleve Russell and wife Wanda of Graham, Texas, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a sister Eva May Russell Henson and two brothers, Jasper Luster Russell and James Charles Russell.
Memorials may be made to World Bible School in honor of Bulah Wilbanks.
