Carrie Cathey Demers, 45, of Greenville, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on August 30, 2024. She was born on October 9, 1978, in Greenville to Ronald “Lynn” and Kay Cathey.
Carrie was a devoted hospice aide who found immense joy and fulfillment in caring for her patients, treating each one like family. Known for her compassionate and loving spirit, Carrie’s kindness left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. Family was at the center of Carrie’s life. She cherished every moment spent with her twins, Cole and Chloe Demers, and treasured time with family. One of her favorite pastimes was resell shopping online with her sister, where they would often find joy in the hunt for hidden treasures.
Carrie had a special bond with her beloved fur baby, Violet. She found comfort in quiet moments spent snuggling, sipping coffee, and watching movies with Violet by her side.
She is survived by her children: Cole and Chloe Demers; her sister, Kim Satterwhite of Greenville; her nieces and nephews, Clint Satterwhite and and his wife Marlee of Montana, Colton Satterwhite and his wife Lindsey of Greenville, and Avery Davidson of Greenville; her great-nieces and nephews: Rodney, Hunter, Jase, Cheyenne, Adalynn, and a great-niece on the way, Mazie Kay. Carrie is also survived by her grandmother, Ann Pierce; brother-in-law, Ashley Davidson and numerous other close family members and friends.
Carrie was preceded in death by her parents, Lynn and Kay Cathey; and her sister, Dedra Davidson.
There will be a memorial held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Lynch Funeral Service Chapel in Greenville.
