Charles Edward Sherman, 63, of Quinlan, Texas, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024, in Greenville, Texas. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Sherman was born January 9, 1961, in Hannibal, Missouri, to William Elvin Sherman and Ruby May Dunn. He married Phyllis Colbert on June 19, 1992, in Bryan County, Oklahoma. He owned Sherman and Sons Concrete Company for 30 years and worked for Street Maintenance for the City of Garland. He loved watching dirt track racing, and most importantly, spending time with his family and grandkids. He was a member of Van Sickle Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Sherman; sons, Charles Edward Sherman, Jr., Larry Woodson and wife, Alicia, and Terry Woodson and wife, Jennifer; daughter, Chasity Gosnell and husband, Terry; brother, William Sherman, Jr.; sisters, Karen Martin, Jeannie Shultz, and Shirley Schmoll; grandchildren, Madelynn Gosnell, Nicole Gosnell, Andrew Gosnell, Megan Coldiron, Makinzie Woodson, Mykel Woodson, Evan Sherman, and Ben Sherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary Ann Horton, and Linda Sherman.
