Charles Robert Davis passed away on December 7th, 2021, at the age of 72 in Greenville, Tx surrounded by his family. He was born on September 22nd, 1949, in Hillsboro, Tx to Mary and Charlie Davis.

Charles grew up in Burleson, Tx until the age of 10; he then moved to Greenville, Tx. Charles graduated From Greenville High School in May of 1968. He met his wife in 1973 and they were married on May 24th, 1975, and were blessed with 2 daughters in 1987 and 1990.
Charles is a Vietnam War Veteran. He enlisted at the age of 18 in the Navy. He served 4 years and ended his active duty as Pay Master. Charles then served the next 16 years in the Army National Guard and attained the rank of Staff Sargent. Charles valued his service and has said that his service taught him the value of discipline, teamwork and investing in a cause larger than himself.
Charles worked for the Army Corp of Engineers at Lake Whitney, Texas for 2 years after the Navy
Manufacturing jobs in Greenville where he learned Quality Control Procedures. In addition, he worked
20 years as a Quality Control tech at Intecom, Inc. which is a telecommunications company (until the boom ended). He was one of the first hired for the brand new Greenville, Tx Lowe’s store where he worked in receiving until he retired at age 67.

Charles leaves lasting and wonderful memories for his family and friends. He will be deeply missed.

Charles is survived by his loving wife, Susan Gwen Goode Davis; daughters Holly Elizabeth Davis and Karen Michelle Davis; sister Susan Rabe and husband Wayne Rabe; sister-in-law Rhonda Davis; sister-in-law Sandy Wall and husband David; brother-in-law Steven Goode; and numerous cousins and nieces and nephews.
Charles is preceded in death in death by his father, Charlie Eugene Davis; Mother Mary Ruth Collins Davis and Brother Jeffery (Fred) Bryan Davis.

There will be a Memorial Service at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 11th, 2021 in the Lynch Funeral Service Chapel in Greenville, Texas. Family members will be taking Charles’ cremated remains to Itasca, Tx for a private burial in a family plot at a later date.
