Charles Theo “C. T.” Brooks, 85, of Greenville, passed away on January 10, 2021 at Medical City Plano. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Highland Terrace Baptist Church with Rev. John Foster officiating. Services are under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
C. T. was born April 29, 1935 in Brewton, Alabama to Albert Clayton Brooks. Following high school graduation in Pensacola, Florida, he joined the Air Force and was stationed at Barksdale AFB in Bossier City, LA. He married Barbara Hagan on December 21, 1957 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Charles’ career took them to Florida, Japan, Mississippi, Texas, Ohio, Nebraska and back to Japan. After his retiring from the military, they moved to Greenville, Texas where he was employed by E-Systems (later Raytheon), retiring in 1996.
Charles is survived by his wife, Barbara Brooks; daughter, Karen Denise Brooks and John Boucher; son, Charles Kevin Brooks and wife, Theresa Muller Brooks; grandsons, Ryan Thomas Wagner and Daniel Patrick Schlund and granddaughter, Jennifer Muller; sisters, Nelda Mayo, Judy Kilcrease and husband, Edward; and all his nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Albert Felton Brooks, Leon Kenneth Brooks and Billy Earl Brooks.
