Connie Estep, 65, of Greenville, passed away on June 26, 2024, at Medical City Plano surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, July 1, 2024, at Wesley United Methodist Church with Rev. Dorothy Straks officiating, burial will follow the service at Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Sunday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Connie was born on February 28, 1959, in Centreville, Mississippi to Gerald Claiborne Brecheen and Ruby Marie King Brecheen. Connie married the love of her life Steven Estep on December 9, 1978, in Gonzales, Louisiana. Steve was in the Air Force, and Steve and Connie were stationed in Miami, Florida, Mildenhall, United Kingdom, and Greenville, Texas, where they retired. Connie was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and worked as a nursery worker for 35 years at different churches in the Greenville area, as well as at home babysitting for over 20 years. Her love for all children knew no bounds.
Connie is survived by her husband Steven E. Estep, sons Steven W. Estep and Alvin R. Estep, sisters Helen Cole and her husband Donald, Mary Hartfield and her husband Mike, Toni Bolin and her husband Jimmy, and Sally Coates and her husband Clay.
Connie is preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers Gerald (Willie), Jack, and Jesse Brecheen.
