Connie Fae Collins Adam, 88, of Greenville, passed away surrounded by her family on February 29, 2020 at her residence. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Dewey Davidson and Rev. Jimmy Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be Monday, March 2, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Connie was born in DeQueen, Arkansas on December 20, 1931 to Edgar and Lessie Miller Cheshier. She married John Adam on September 15, 1980 in Greenville. He preceded her in death on May 12, 2004. She worked for Mrs. Baird’s Bakery Thrift Store for 35 years. Connie was a member of Park St. Baptist Church.
Connie is survived by her son, Gary Collins; daughters, Lois Diggs and husband, Larry, Sandra Collins, Janie Reisor, Susan Gray and husband, Dennis, Amy Watson; brother, Leslie Cheshier; sisters, Dora Duncan and husband, John, Linda Malone and husband, Jimmy; grandchildren, Sherry Lambe, Stephanie Putman and husband, Keith, Brandi Murrey, Jeremy Smith and wife, Lori, Laurie Elmore and husband, Dewey, Christopher Smith, Lori Pearce and husband, Adam, Daniel Derryberry and wife, Meagan, Colby Gann, Zachary Gray, Chloe Gray, Zoie Gray; great-grandchildren, Jenna Lambe, Megan Lambe, Nathan Lambe, Taylor Putman, Brittni Murrey, Bayleigh Murrey, Shawn Gilmore, Jayden Marsh, Cody Raiburn, Cheyenne Smith, Jeri Taylor Pippin, Charlize Smith, Erin Fontenot, Kylie Smith, Kylie Locke, Kaitlin Derryberry, Emily Cotton, Desirae Pearce, Morgyn Pearce, Braiden Dawson, Jacob Derryberry, Riley Derryberry, Carson Derryberry; great-great-grandchildren, Hagen Bedard, Nicholas Gilmore, Michael Andrade Lambe and Hayes Puckett.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Royce Collins, father to their children; siblings, Billy Cheshier, Bonnie Selman, Helen Hudson; and grandchild, Larry Jack Diggs, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Gilmore, Zachary Gray, Nathan Lambe, Jayden Marsh, Keith Putman and Christopher Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Dewey Elmore, Timmy Lambe and Jeremy Smith.
