Services for Daniel Philip Calk, 64, of Lone Oak are scheduled for 2 p.m., Sunday, December 6, 2020, at First Christian Church, Lone Oak, with the Calk Family officiating under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Lone Oak.
Interment will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.
Mr. Calk passed away December 2, 2020, at his residence in Lone Oak. He was born July 21, 1956, in Marshall to Alfred William and Mildred Rheudine Sweeney Calk. On September 22, 1979, he married Cynthia Ann Bledsoe in Corpus Christi. From 1981-1984, Bro. Danny pastored Cottonwood Community Church, Alba. He then pastored First Assembly of God Church of Lone Oak for 8 years and First Christian Church of Lone Oak for 25 years. Philip had been a resident of Lone Oak for 36 years and was a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He is preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, William David Calk, Robert Lynn Calk, James Alfred Calk, Charles Patrick Calk, and Noel Lafayette Calk; and grandson Aleric Washington.
Survivors include his wife of forty-one years, Cynthia Ann Calk of Lone Oak; son, Jason Calk and wife Leslie of Fayetteville, Arkansas; daughter, Jennifer Calk of Lone Oak; two brothers, Sam Calk and wife Patricia of Lone Oak and Tom Calk and wife Pat of Paris; three sisters, Betty Ballard of Dallas, Mary Slankster and husband Dwayne of Lone Oak, and Elizabeth Fletcher and husband Rodney of Springfield, Missouri; six grandchildren, Anna, Schaeffer, Shiloh, Silas, Selah, and Annisten; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jason Calk, Eric Ingram, Josh Fletcher, Josh Foster, David Bledsoe, and Steve Calk.
