David Eldridge Clegg, 71, of Greenville, Texas, passed away on June 14, 2025, at his residence. A memorial service will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2025. Arrangements were handled by Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
David was born in Houston, Texas, on December 12, 1953, to Virgil Eldridge Clegg and Marcie Lee Maxey. He was a dedicated teacher for Greenville Independent School District, a longtime member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, and a proud Scottish Rite Freemason and member of the Masonic Lodge in Commerce, Texas.
David is survived by his daughter, Christina Clegg; his son-in-law, Brandon; and his cherished grandchildren, Micah and Jemma, who brought immense joy to his life. He is also survived by several cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
