Delpha Marlene Miller, 89, of Greenville, passed away on January 23, 2021 at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Coker-Mathews Chapel with Rev. Jim Corbet officiating. Burial will follow at Haven of Memories Cemetery in Canton, Texas.
Marlene was born on June 25, 1931 in Van Zandt County, Texas to James Marvin and Dortha Inez Hair Stroud. She graduated from Wills Point High School in 1948, and married her High School sweetheart, James Douglas (Doug) Miller on June 26, 1948. She had two sons, Stephen Douglas Miller born September 26, 1949, and David Marvin Miller born June 25, 1953. She retired from E-Systems in Greenville in 1986 as a Material Coordinator.
Survivors include her sons, Steve Miller and wife, Mary of Bonham, David Miller and wife, Tina of Greenville; sister Eva Nell Stroud Miller of Mesquite; brother, Jerry Stroud and wife, Shirley of Atlanta, Texas; grandson, Adam Miller and wife, Christy along with great-grandsons, Stone and Rhett Miller of Greenville; and granddaughter Angela Miller and wife, Linda Kratzert of Forney, Texas; along with many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandsons, Stone Douglas Miller and Rhett Matthew Miller.
