Donald Wayne Mellody, 67, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on July 25, 2019 in Tyler. A graveside service will be 11:00 A.M., Monday, July 29, 2019 at Forest Park Cemetery with Rev. Cathy Partridge officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 A.M. until service time at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Mr. Mellody was born June 25, 1952 in Dallas, Texas to Edwin B. Mellody and Betty Lou Mellody. He married Addie Beth Aldridge on July 24, 1976 in Greenville, Texas. He retired from Region VIII Education Service Center and was of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Addie Beth Mellody; daughter, Laura Kobe and husband, Michael Kobe; son, Michael Mellody and Fiancé, Amy Lewandowski; grandchildren, Austin and Caroline Kobe.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Darrell Mellody.
Pallbearers will be Michael Kobe, Jim Mellody Jimmy Wilson, Brad Partridge, Kenny Boobar and Mike Kobe.
Memorials may be made to Scottish Rite Hospital.
