Dorothy Gwenyth Ahlgren, passed away on May 10, 2024, at the age of 87. She was born on May 6, 1937 to Edmund and Pearl Ryan in Cuyler, NY.
Dorothy was known for her unwavering faith and her active involvement in her church. She was a devout member of Quinlan First Assembly of God and found great joy in participating in various church activities and ministries. Her dedication to her faith and her church family was an inspiration to all who knew her.
In her professional life, Dorothy was a valued employee at AT&T, where she worked for many years. She was known for her strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to excellence. Her contributions to the company left a lasting impact, and she will be remembered for her dedication and professionalism.
Dorothy was a loving and caring person who touched the lives of many. She had a compassionate heart and always went out of her way to help others. Her warm smile, kind words, and genuine concern for those around her made her a cherished friend and confidante. Dorothy adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved spending time with them.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Karl Edward Ahlgren; son, Travis Biggerstaff; daughters: Rosa Moore, Rhonda Lovato; brothers: Dick Ryan, Jerry Ryan, Darryl Ryan; sisters: Betty Sykes, Mable Nix, Marian Hervey, Patricia Niles, Gloria Scharhag, and Carryl Kolb; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Edmund and Pearl Ryan; 1st husband Edward Harris Biggerstaff; sons: Jody Biggerstaff, Edward Biggerstaff; sisters: Edna Kingsley, Loretta Calabretta, and brothers: Lawrence Ryan, and Elijah Ryan, John Ryan, and Donald Ryan.
A funeral will be at 2:00 pm on Monday, May 13, 2024 at Lynch Funeral Service Chapel in Greenville. A visitation will take place one hour prior to service at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow the service at Lynch Memorial Park in Greenville.
