Douglas Allen Dorman, 92, of Greenville, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025.
Douglas was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Josephine. He found immense joy in the outdoors, particularly spending time at the lake. A passionate collector, he enjoyed finding and reselling unique glass bottles.
He is survived by his son Michael Dorman and his wife Teresa; his daughter, Sharon Laird; his seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of loving extended relatives and friends.
Douglas was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Mary Dorman; his daughters, Karen Shewbirt and Virginia Jones; his grandson, Joe Shewbirt; and six siblings.
A visitation for Douglas will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Lynch Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will take place on Monday, July 14, 2025, at 10:00 AM, also at Lynch Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service at IOOF Cemetery in Caddo Mills.
