Earnest Carl Green, a devoted son, brother, and uncle, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2024 at the age of 65 in Quinlan, Texas. Born on June 29, 1959, in Dallas, Texas, Ernest embodied a life filled with warmth, compassion, and an easy-going spirit that endeared him to all who had the privilege to know him.
In his professional life, Ernest was skilled in both plumbing and carpentry, honing a craft that allowed him to contribute meaningfully to his community. He was not only dedicated to his work but carried a talent for connecting with those around him, showcasing a personality that was passive, non-confrontational, and ever-happy. His jovial nature indeed left a positive mark on both colleagues and clients alike.
Ernest’s passions extended beyond his career; he had a keen interest in collecting a vast array of items, reflecting his belief in the saying, “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” This hobby brought him joy and engaged him with others, as he delighted in the stories and memories attached to each find.
He cherished precious moments spent with his family and friends, particularly the memories of his last birthday party—a gathering filled with laughter and love that highlighted the importance of relationships in his life.
Ernest is survived by his beloved family, including his mother, Lanell Green; his siblings, Robin Brenn, Terry Green, and Vanessa Brown; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Green.
A Funeral Service in honor of Ernest Carl Green will be held on August 29, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Peters Funeral Home, located at 4201 Wellington St., Greenville, TX 75401. Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating a life that enriched the lives of so many through kindness and love.
