Elinor Ruth Dunnick, 89, of Greenville, Texas, passed away on November 25, 2024. She was born on August 3, 1935, in Suring, Wisconsin, to Albert and Ruth Slang. Elinor’s life was marked by her unwavering faith, deep devotion to her family, and a legacy of love and service to her community.

Elinor attended Bethel Baptist Church in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where she served as a Deaconess. She later became an active member of Graceway Fellowship in Green Bay before moving to Greenville, Texas, where she joined Family Fellowship. Throughout her life, Elinor was a passionate disciple-maker, having touched the lives of many through her involvement with the Christian Women’s Club, where she served as Chairwoman in Wisconsin. She was a dedicated woman of faith who discipled many individuals, leading them to a deeper relationship with the Lord.

In her youth, Elinor’s talents shone brightly, as she was crowned the Wisconsin State Twirling Champion at the age of 13. Later in life, she became known for her incredible skill as a home decorator, with an impeccable sense of style and an unyielding commitment to maintaining a beautiful and welcoming home. Her warm, sweet nature, and her devotion to her family were evident in every aspect of her life.

Elinor was married to her loving husband, William Dunnick, for 70 years. Together, they raised their family with love and care, and she was a dedicated housewife who cherished her role as a mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her beloved husband, William Dunnick; son, James Dunnick of Vero Beach, Florida; daughter, Amy Jordan and her husband Doug of Greenville, Texas; grandson, Levi Jordan and his wife Jessica of Greenville, Texas; great-grandson, Baxter Jordan; and a loving host of friends and extended family.

Elinor was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Ruth Slang, and her brother, Albert Slang.

Elinor’s life will be remembered for her faith, her devotion to her family, and her lasting impact on everyone she met. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
